Recently, a writing pal from Denver asked me to write a blurb for their new children's book, Sky Blue. I was truly delighted but also slightly nervous, having never done such a thing. Worried I wouldn't know what to write, I approached the task as anyone else would surely do. I googled, "How to write a book blurb." Lucky for me, the book was very easy to write about because it is a heartwarming story about a young person named Sky Blue navigating the loss of their pet dog, Honeybunny. The subject is near and dear to me as someone with young nephews and niece as well as an old lady dog. It can be hard to explain death to children and Sky Blue does a wonderful job tackling the subject.
